By far, the most common question our support team gets asked is, “How do I create multi-day golf tournaments?” Well, as of September 8, 2022, our answer is, “With PlayThru!”

We’re excited to announce that we’ve rolled out new features that enable users to create multi-round golf tournament scorecards. 

With these new features: 

• Create tournaments with up to 4 rounds. 
• Change up the course for each round (if needed). 
• Clone rounds in a way that eliminates duplicate entry. 
  

And all the other features that make PlayThru easy to use are still in place. 

• Share one short link for each round with all golfers. 
• Set up your first event in three steps. 
• Import golfers from a CSV file. 
  

How much does it cost? 

The multi-round features cost $19.99. It’s a one-time cost to upgrade your account. You’ll then have access to the multi-round features for the life of your account. 

You also get an additional 5 rounds in your account when you upgrade. We didn’t think it was fair to ask you to upgrade, and then require you to buy more events on top of it. 

Some Stuff You Should Know

Because of how multi-round golf tournaments are scored, there are some things you should be aware of before upgrading. 

• Multi-round scoring is only available for stroke play and stableford tournaments. You can still create match play and two-person best ball events, but those formats can only be applied to one-round events. 
• All rounds in a tournament must use the same scoring format. In other words, if your first round uses the stableford format, all subsequent rounds must be stableford. 
• Each round counts as an event against your available account total. A four-round tournament will use 4 events. As mentioned above, you get 5 new events added to your account when you upgrade. 
• If you created rounds before upgrading to the multi-rounds feature, all those rounds will remain in your account unchanged. 
  

Can I create a Ryder Cup event? 

Unfortunately, multi-round scoring is not the same thing as Ryder Cup scoring. We’re hoping to roll this feature out at some point in the future, but it is not available right now.
